We have decided that we are going to do a stencil animation of a children's picture book, using a little silhouette animation and possibly object animation. We have also done some research into types of animation and people who have animated children's books. Also we have written our proposal talking about the production in detail, the target audience, influencing work and the legal and ethical problems.  Next we will have to time how long it takes to narrate and if we have to shorten it and take any scenes out. There is a fifteen page script that has been finished completely today, and the rest is all the stencils for chapter one, there is are 19 pictures in total, the rest we will hopefully print all tomorrow. First of all was after lunch we thought we would have to print out everything - all 200 or so pictures - again or multiple times. We printed out the first chapter again. We thought we had to do this was because we realised to animate our characters we wold have to cut them out of the scenes but that that would rip it and would need a second one for the scene. It was only after we had printed out the first chapter we realised that this still probably wouldn't work. We wanted ask for help but we couldn't find our tutor Cliff or technical support Dave. This is not unusual. Instead we found Jenny the learning support person. This turned out to be a mistake. She insisted that she needed to read the script and to sort it all out and that we needed to take out some scenes but she didn't know what they should be and we insisted we had already taken a few out and could find any at the moment but were planning g to do this if we found any that were unnecessary. She would not listen to us. We went to the animation room to try some things out but couldn't as jenny insisted on doing her own storyboard of every picture of what we would need and that took a long time, we tried to tell her that we wanted to at least try to animated something but she would not let us. eventually we managed to cut out some of the stencil and to experiment with either a white or black background, we found that we couldn't have a grey background pictures the printers up here are not clean and it would either come out green or pink in the grey. also amy came over saying that she was going to help, she started doing something on the computer that was connected to our camera after a while she some who broke it and made it not take pictures of what was in front of the camera. eventually this was fixed. we did some short experiments to see what would work, we think we might use the black background but might or might not need the large lamps on.   ]]> 2016-05-10 09:47:43 UTC https://padlet.com/chloe_13a/qk6v2x8m40ix/wish/110050897 chloe_13a https://padlet.com/chloe_13a/qk6v2x8m40ix/wish/110053811 This is todays minutes of meeting, it wasn't really a meeting because it was just me as Lewis is not in today because he is unwell. Lewis has not been in because he is unwell so I have done this on my own. The two light s are for keep away any shadows and brightening the pictures, this should also avoid the lines going across the images, which has been a problem on previous projects and is caused by the lights about us in the animation room. It is very hot under both legs so I am taking emulate little breaks for a few seconds one a particle,are part is done and when. First of all we had to delay begging flying because we needed Lewis to print out the white coloured rain because we are now using a black background. I was cutting out some extra pierces we could use I the scene. After lunch we did an hour or two filming, which was a little stressful as the pieces moved very easily, especially the three sections of backgorund. Then we had the problem with the he backgrounds as they were slightly curved and as we attempted to moved the specials from one to the other they would stay still and they would have ruined the effect of the animation.
