Chadwick worked with Rutherford, Bohr and Geiger, famous scientists. He worked in physics on studying the atom. In 1932, He detected an unnamed particle, one with the mass similar to the proton, but neutral - he discovered the neutron. He had used an experiment similar to Rutherford, but used a sheet of beryllium and bombarded it with alpha particles.

Schrödinger (1887-1961)

Schrödinger discovered that electrons were not actually particles, but instead a wave. Because it is a wave, you cannot actually find where it is. Instead, his equation is used to predict where an electron will most likely be and cannot be used to find where an electron is, or what the path of it’s wave is.

Schrödinger changed how electron behave in the model of the atom. There were properties of electrons (spin, sublevels, and orbitals) that Bohr’s model couldn’t explain. Schrödinger decided that the properties would make sense if electrons were a wave.

Thomson did expirements with glowing gases of beams and showed that charged objects; He showed that charged objects could deflect the beam. Thomson believed that all matter is made of individual particles called atoms, which cannot be divided. He also discovered the electron in 1906. His discovery and theory was proved through his expirements.
