Glodon is the new software apps for quantity surveying. Glodon helps us to save time , reduce man power ( Labour Cost) , Efficiency may be improved and less error will be make, compare to traditional methdos.Besides that, it may bring more client to the office because it's easier to do measurement compare to traditional methdos. Lastly, the drawings may be easily transfer because it uses the autocad system and also the accuracy of glodon is much better compare to traditional methods.

But quantity surveyors face difficulties in quantifying such building. Conventional measurements have reached its limits. 
 
Quantity surveyors are not to be left behind. Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools are created to aid quantity surveyors.One of the tools is Glodon. Glodon is useful in the future quantity surveyors’ work because it is able to measure complex shapes with minimal error. Apart form that, it also saves time. Due to its building modeling abilities, quantity surveyors are able to detect unnecessary cost on screen. Glodon Software has helped  in visualising the actual elements such as rebar and mesh installation which was not possible previously. It reduces the risk of missing out on elements during the quantity take-off. It has also provided Quantity Surveyors with valuable and confident information when reporting to the management for cost analysis, progress claims, sub-contractor's progress payments and final settlement during the construction phase.
The availability of 3D visualisation of the building has greatly reduced the omission of items especially the finishes areas. It has also increased the speed in taking-off, hence, producing better cost estimates and more efficient materials procurement.

Glodon is one of the many BIM softwares available in the market. Many Quantity Surveyors are afraid of losing their job with the upcoming BIM softwares. However, many research papers and opinions from expertise have proved that Glodon or other BIM software will provide a lot of benefit to the Quantity Surveying profession. One of the main reason  to say that Glodon is a useful tool for the QS profession is that it enhance the performance or accelerate the production of a BoQ.  Quantity take-off which is done manually will take a lot of time and effort and the quantity measured are not a 100% correct. During most cases, the time to produce a BoQ is normally insufficient and under measurement is very like to occur. Thus Glodon will be able to minimize this error. Furthermore, the Glodon BIM Cost Solution, includes BIM-based quantity takeoff software and cost estimation software presents capability of integrating all software to solve difficulties respectively through the whole process of cost business. When i was having my internship, i had the opportunity to use Glodon. After i have tried, i really think that Glodon is very useful for my future. Because it really save a lot of time and not require scale rule to measure the length. I can scale the length by only clicking the mouse. I can use a week to complete the measurement of ground beam, beam, column, slab and etc of a school with carpark, hall and auditorium.
