Outside of school life I stay busy with my family (my husband and two children - 12 and almost 15). I'm a department head, and a peer coach at East Ridge, and love participating in staff meetings sharing what I can.  I believe leadership is a shared model and we can all learn from each other.  We lead through sharing visions, tapping into intrinsic motivator we all possess.  Then we need to facilitate their forward progress and coach them how to pass along what we taught them.

The happy day I graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1984, yes it's a long time ago....no jokes. :)

I'm a graduate of Northern Michigan University; Major: Industrial Engineering, Minors: Education & Psychology.  I taught in Milwaukee for 3 1/2 years prior to leaving to work in technology industry for 21 years; wasting my time. I have an "Executive MBA" from St. Thomas and currently teach engineering and industrial technology at East Ridge High School in Woodbury, MN.
