My Experience from Day 1 Onwards

A lot happened in Day 1. It went from my power going out, to my Internet dying, to my lower and other fellow YFCs having technical difficulties. Fortunately, towards the middle of the day, everything went smoothly. Before the beginning of Session 1, my fellow YFCs and I decided to gather and experience Session 1 and onwards together, so that we could somewhat experience our own little ICON together.

So far, today has been going smoothly, other than my Internet dying again every now and then, and I'm praying that things are going smoothly.

I'm praying that face-to-face happens again soon, so that I can finally go to the Philippines and study with my friends. During the course of 2020 and 2021, I met some amazing people online that are all from the Philippines, and became close friends with them. I'm praying that I get to meet them as soon as possible. I want to tell them in person how much they mean to me, and how much they've helped me get through tough times.

Experience
This is actually my first ICON since I became a YFC Member. Yesterday was quite a hectic day for me since we had a Research Proposal Defense and also I did not have enough sleep the night before that. But God is so amazing because I was able to survive the day and I was also able to join some of the activities, though not all. But indeed, it was a wonderful day one. And for this day, I promised to participate and engage so that I will be to feel his presence. I'll make the most of it.
Prayer
I pray for peace of mind
I pray for the good health of my family
I pray for hard roads to be bearable
I pray for everyone's recovery no matter what they are experiencing or feeling at the moment
I pray to be strong

Steven #YFCIcon - It was a fulfilling experience. This is actually my first Icon and I'm beyond grateful to experience this. The session yesterday really touched my heart and made me feel loved. I'm so happy to meet everyone even though I stayed silent the whole hangouts session hahahaha.

Sobrang nakakamiss yung mga physical gatherings, conferences, activities na nakakasama mo yung chapter mo and mabibigyan ka ng chance magkaroon ng mga bagong kaibigan from different places. Sobrang solid nung worhsip, yung session pati yung A love like this. Tamang desisyon ang pasama sa community. Thank you for sustaining us lalo na ngayong pandemic. DAY 1: I feel Excited because this is my first time na umattend ng YFC Icon, Akala ko di ko mararanasan ang Icon, but God is Good na pinaranas niya sakin ang matagal ko ng gustong ma experience sa buong yfc journey ko. Day 1 sobrang saya makakilala ng ibang kaibigan inside and outside of your chapter or island. I miss Worship na nagbibigay ng chills sakin during Worship. Games, common pero enjoy kasi freindly competitive ang mga ilan at Keyboard warrior ang iba ahahhaa but I hope Maexperience ko at ng ibang YFC na magkraoon ng F2F ang God's Will. I just want to thank sa mga taong behind this conference sa mga nag aasist keep it up.

I was so excited and kinda nervous because of new faces and people but thank God they are really friendly and so cheerful. For today I had a trouble connecting because of my computer, it is very laggy and slow internet connection.

My experience ng day 1 po is masaya po and unforgettable y? because this is our first time mag virtual icon and kahit po nasa sari sariling bahay po tayo nararamdaman parin po namin na parang magkakasama lang po tayo and napaka solid po ng icon2021:>. sobra po akong nag enjoy sa hangouts and thanks po sainyo and hope this pandemic will end so can see each other na po ilt! <3

My experience from day 1 up until now, I am so glad to be back in YFC for the long time. I feel the same way when I joined this organization almost 6 years ago. The excitement, energy and happiness. Even though it happens in this kind of platform.

#YFC ICON DAY 1
So much emotion in DAY 1 tbh. I can't really explain the emotions, the feelings that I experiencing on DAY 1. It was a great experience for me even though it's virtual, u can feel the presence of f2f ICON.

I'm praying for my self haha, it's kinda hard rn to because of my anxiety. I'm having a hard time to face it.

It was really nice to hear liveloud songs again in youth conference. I was also reminded that love that not only centers on romantic feelings but also to other things including the environment and our families. Overall, it was a really nice experience and i have reminded again that our existence is a proof of god's love to us.

- As always Icon is very exciting event for all the YFCs around the world and its not surprising that even though we are in a pandemic the Icon still finds its way to connect each and everyone of us.
Day 1 ICON reminded me of how I am worthy of God's love and how my life should be spent on this world. It has been so long since I experienced Praisefest and its really refreshing to sing again to the Lord.

My first day was exhausting but fulfilling. I was the broadcaster of ML competition and it was a struggle but in God's grace, it ended successfully. In the afternoon, I am the Technicals of Hangouts so all of the things that can be seen on the hangouts, I've been handling it. It was fun and I was able to meet and find friend in hangouts. And the session is a blast. But we experience power interruption so I re-watched it again after the event. For a love like this, it was quite lovely to the the speakers as they lead the segment. At the end, It was fulfilling and wonderful experience.

This is actually my first ICON experience. I enjoyed the talks, the games and also the interactions. Its somehow hard because of the internet connection but it doesn't mean that I will stop. I think God is trying to test us through the internet connection but still, we remained strong and continue our event!!! Hoping to experience the face to face ICON next time <333

Recently I've been praying for my family to get better. We are a household of 9 people, and 5 of them tested positive for covid-19. The remaining 4 people who tested negative are quarantined together, and I'm so grateful for the ICON happening when it did because it gives me strength, and brings me closer to God. I'm praying that we will get through this, and that sooner we will be together again. I pray that the pandemic will end, and that covid-19 will no longer be as big of a threat as it is. By the grace of God, please let it be so.

I am so grateful that I become part of this YFC Icon 2021. My heart is full from yesterday until now. I am still overwhelm to the fact that I can worship na again with my YFC friends. Even though we are thousand miles away from each other but through the power of the Man Above Us we become one and he help us to remind that we have friends out there that we can rely one even despite of pandemic.

I felt blessed po. The experience was so amazing even if I didn't really experience it face to face. I can feel God's presence in this online activity. Yesterday I couldn't access to my members portal so I didn't have the chance to join the hangout for the first day. But God gave me a chance and heard my prayer to join the hangout today and I had fun listening. And I really hope that I could make some new friends today. 😊
