         <description><![CDATA[<p>1. The convoy system was in place to protect the cargo ships that were going to and from Britain to America. They did this by surrounding the cargo ships with stronger warships to protect them from enemy submarines. </p><p>2.  Morale was boosted immediately.  French crowds in Paris rejoiced at the sight of the Americans. </p><p>3. american forces stopped the exit of the enemy submarines. they successfully implemented plans of a mine barrage to not allow enemy submarines to leave their navy station. this is just another reason on how without the american navy , the allies would have lost the war as Americans stopped many submarines that could of destroyed many allied ships. </p><p>4. the American navy successfully implemented listening devices that could detect enemy submarines nearby through hearing the propellers. They also initiated depth charges that could destroy enemy U-boats. A fleet of 20 sub-chasers were successful in stopping Austrian submarines in the Adriatic and could also report report enemy U-boats. This shows how without the American navy, the Allies may have lost the as the American navy was able to detect and destroy enemy subs. </p>]]></description>
