We tend to use Universal Design to meet the needs of all the students we serve.  As I was reading I was thinking that I can obviously make improvements, especially when presenting lessons and handing out materials and ways of approach.

For example, during a project students can choose to create a poster, make a google slides presentation on the computer, film a video, or submit an essay. Make sure to tell students your goal for the assignment, and then students can choose the route they would like to take to prove they have reached the goal. They can help me by providing constructive feedback about their experience, what worked and what didn't, and by showing how well they accomplished the learning goals set for them. If students had multiple choices like a drawing station, writing station and speaking station, they are already interested as one of these choices would be a preferred form of action and expression. Let students choose their first station but have them complete 2 of the three stations or even all 3. All three stations would build towards a final set of questions which could be part of the assessment for the lesson.
