Since COVID-19 hit, even big players like Apple have been using SWOT analysis. It’s like their trusty guide to navigate the ups and downs with a dose of empathy:

1.	Rolling with the Changes: Apple, just like us regular people, had to switch things up. SWOT helped them tweak their products and stores to fit what we all needed during the pandemic.

2.	Spotting New Chances: SWOT wasn’t just about problems; it helped Apple see cool new opportunities like remote work and digital stuff that we all started craving.

3.	Budget Wisely: SWOT helped Apple figure out how to use their resources smartly while keeping their peeps safe.

4.	Avoiding Oops Moments: SWOT also helped Apple spot potential roadblocks so they could make plans to dodge them in the future.

In a nutshell, even tech giants like Apple are using SWOT analysis to ride the waves, take advantage of opportunities, and show some love to their employees and customers in this post-COVID world.

Source: https://bstrategyhub.com/swot-analysis-of-apple-apple-swot/#:~:text=After%20effects%20of%20Coronavirus%20Outbreak,a%20big%20market%20for%20Apple).

A tech company might struggle to decide which weaknesses to address first.

P.E.S.T.L.E

1. For instance, an electric car manufacturer might overlook regulatory changes related to emissions by focusing solely on competitive forces.

2. Static Analysis: It tends to provide a snapshot of the industry at a given time and may not capture dynamic changes effectively.

HEALTHCARE
While every industry has been affected by COVID-19, healthcare is one of the most intimately involved with the mechanisms of the virus itself. COVID-19 has affected how healthcare is delivered, how clinicians and staff can interact with patients and more. According to the American Hospital Association, the hospital industry saw a $323.1 billion loss in income in 2020, as elective and non-emergency procedures were all pushed to the wayside out of safety. Hospital workers also have faced greater levels of risk from the virus itself. Healthcare has begun to reinvent itself through telemedicine, but it may be years before it rebounds financially.

Almost all UK businesses have been badly affected by the spread of Covid-19, but some industries have been hit harder than others. Financial market data and surveys of firms themselves provide insights into the scale of the impact on sales, employment, supply chains and business uncertainty.

While all industries have been negatively affected by the spread of Covid-19, it has had a bigger impact on some firms and sectors than on others. This is for a number of reasons, for example, due to variation in the risks of infection from different activities, the ability of the business to operate remotely, and the ways that policies have affected the current business of the firm and expectations about the future.

What does evidence from economic research tell us?

Almost all businesses have been badly affected by the spread of Covid-19.

Sales, investment and employment have fallen sharply, and we are entering what will be the biggest recession in a generation.

Firms report that over the period from April to June 2020, they expect sales to be on average 44% lower and investment 50% lower than they would otherwise have been.

Overall uncertainty has risen sharply. 86% of firms report that the level of uncertainty facing their business is high or very high, up from 68% in March and 40% in February, making business planning very difficult.

77% of businesses indicate that they are continuing to trade, with little difference between the countries within the UK.

The red ocean strategy helps businesses survive in a competitive market where organizations prefer aggressive growth in the existing market instead of entering into new markets.
The red ocean strategy uncovers the level of competition, risks, and profit-making opportunities. A red ocean market is characterized by stiff competition .To enter a red ocean market and win, the company must create a specific demand for its product through innovation or creating a new product or service . While the competition between Coca-Cola and PepsiCo has led to innovation and a wide range of product choices for consumers, it is a classic example of a "Red Ocean" because it represents a highly competitive and saturated market space where companies strive to outdo each other in an existing industry.
In contrast, a "Blue Ocean Strategy" aims to create new market spaces or opportunities where competition is minimal or non-existent. Companies pursuing a "Blue Ocean" strategy focus on innovation and value creation rather than direct competition with rivals.

Advantages: One of the main advantages of the VRIO framework is that it provides a simple and systematic way of evaluating the firm's resources and capabilities. It helps managers focus on the key factors that contribute to the firm's performance and differentiate it from its competitors.

Disadvantages: the VRIO framework also has some drawbacks, especially in dynamic and complex markets where the environment is unpredictable, turbulent, and heterogeneous. In such markets, the VRIO criteria may not capture the full range and depth of the firm's resources and capabilities, and may overlook some important aspects that affect the firm's competitiveness.

VRIO Analysis of NIKE

Let’s perform a VRIO analysis of Nike to get a clearer picture of how a VRIO Analysis is performed.

1. Value

Firstly, Nike’s brand name and innovative products provide it with immense value. This helps it stay on top of the mountain and remain a premium brand.

2. Rarity

Secondly, Nike’s relationship with athletes is a definite advantage over the market. However, it is not rare as other brands can always approach younger talent and sign them on.

3. Inimitable

Thirdly, It would cost billions of dollars worth of advertisements to try and compete with Nike’s Brand image. Their shoes are patent protected, helping them to fend off plagiarism from the competition while keeping their unique look.

3. Organization

Finally, the organization is structured to maintain the quality of goods and uphold the brand image of Nike globally. All outlet stores give off the premium brand vibe regardless of wherever you are.

What Are The Advantages/Benefits of The VRIO Framework?

The VRIO framework helps you:

1. Identify Competitive Advantage

It enables you to capitalize on previously undetected competitive advantages and transform them into an edge over the market.

2. Increase Efficiency

In addition, It may help you determine the path for future initiatives and better manage corporate resources. Hence, increasing the efficiency of your business model.

3. Identify Opportunities and Dangers

It can also generate insights that aid in identifying and evaluating potential opportunities and dangers to determine which ones deserve more attention.

4. Reduce Operating Costs

Due to the relative importance feature, managers could better understand which tasks deserve more attention than others, helping to reduce operating costs.

Does the VRIO Framework Have Disadvantages/Limitations?

Here are the disadvantages of the VRIO framework:

1. Challenging to Use

It can be challenging to determine which evaluation method best suits your need since there are multiple ways to evaluate the value of a good.

2. Short-term Competitive Advantage

Moreover, the landscape in which businesses operate is frequently evolving. Therefore, it may be impossible to claim a lasting competitive advantage. Sometimes the most you can do is claim a temporary competitive advantage for the months ahead.

3. Market Demand isn’t Considered

The model does not consider internal aspects, such as how market demand shifts and changes.

Endnote

In summary, The framework serves as an excellent analytical tool that allows you to increase efficiency and reduce the cost of your operations. The VRIO framework breakdown of Starbucks proves just how valuable this analytical tool can be.

Teamwork is essential for performing a VRIO analysis.

1) Organizational changes are those that have a significant impact on the organization as a whole. Major shifts to personnel, company goals, service offerings, and operations are all considered different forms of organizational change.

2) Change in an organization leads to many positive aspects – that lead to retaining a competitive edge and also remaining relevant in your business area. Change encourages innovation, develops skills, develops staff and leads to better business opportunities, and improves staff morale.

3) External Forces:

These include driving forces that shape change like technology, customer preferences, regulations, competitor moves, or supplier and sourcing instability. Disruptions are constantly challenging us to innovate and adapt. Sometimes these external changes can arise very quickly like a tsunami.

https://cmoe.com/blog/the-forces-of-change-and-informal-strategic-leadership/

4) Internal Forces:

While internal forces can still be challenging, you have more control over these changes. It is important to remember that any type of change can be hard, and these forces of change will push us to get out of our comfort zone and approach work differently. People tend to crave the status quo and resist things that disrupt familiar and trusted behaviors, processes and systems. It can feel risky to change, so we tend to resist things that seem unfamiliar to us.

When organizations need to be restructured, a new executive is hired, a new product is introduced or a new policy is rolled out, it is going to encounter some questions, cautiousness and push back.

5) For change managers, guiding an organisation through a period of change, there can be three major challenges barring the way: gaining buy-in; tracking project health and evaluating change management efforts.

A client report is a document that summarizes key information about a project, campaign or organization. Many self-employed professionals and marketing agencies use these types of reports, though they can be helpful tools for any business that provides services directly to clients. These reports help to summarize important information, measure progress and keep everyone working toward the same goals. Professionals can give their clients these reports in various formats, such as paper documents, emails or slideshow presentations. Many choose to send them on a consistent schedule, such as each month or every quarter.

What to include in a client report

There are various types of client reports, including sales, project management, social media, marketing and research reports. While each of these reports may vary slightly, they all typically include key information, such as:

Project overview: These reports usually provide an overview of the rest of the report by summarizing key information, such as milestones, project metrics and recommendations for the client. This may help them process the most important information before reviewing the details.

Milestones: Client reports often provide information about milestones or benchmarks you've reached since the last report, which can help clients measure your progress toward the project goals. Benchmarks define your progress in relation to the timeline so you can relay if you're pacing yourself well.

KPIs: These reports typically include information about key performance indicators (KPIs), which are measurable values to help evaluate the success of a project. For example, a marketing report might include KPIs like organic website traffic, click-through rate and lead-to-customer ratio.

Metrics: Including additional metrics outside of important KPIs could help you give a more comprehensive view of your performance. Where KPIs help clients assess how well you're fulfilling specific goals, metrics show them how your work is doing in general.

Budget: Many reports include information about the project budget. This section of the report can show clients how you're using the budget effectively to meet their goals for the project and how much money remains available.

Recommendations: Most reports end with suggestions or recommendations for the client about the next steps in the project. This information can help you continue to work toward the client's goals.

why client report is important?
1. Client reporting enables you to regularly interact with your client 2. Client reports help you educate your client on what you do 3. Regular reporting keeps both you and your client accountable 4. Transparency is a lot easier through your client reports 5. Client reporting gives credit where credit is due 6. Your work is all about results, and reports are your way of showing them.

Client report is the best way to build and improve your client-agency relationship. It's how you communicate your marketing results to your client so that they see how hard you're working for them. It's how you turn one-time clients into recurring clients. Client reporting is what makes you grow your business.

1)background, 2) findings, 3) discussion, 4) conclusions and 5) recommendations

Client reporting is an integral part of running a successful digital marketing agency. Essentially, it’s the backbone of your relationship with clients, providing a point of reference, proof of campaign effectiveness, and a potential source to acquire new business.

More often than not, marketing agencies build up huge data sets on their campaigns, but fall short on creating insightful, easy to understand client reports with all the numbers.

four reasons why client reporting is the most important thing your digital agency can do to stay competitive, prove effectiveness, and keep clients happy.

1. Client reporting improves communication.

The client-agency relationship is like any other relationship; communication is the key to success. Client reports are a great way to open up conversations, build trust, and check in on campaigns to see how things are moving along.

Client reporting is also critical to identifying any potential problems a campaign may encounter.

Automating your reports with NinjaCat is a great way to set up monthly or weekly conversations with your clients, where you can trade ideas, opinions, and talk strategy. Discussing KPI’s and revisiting goals regularly via client reports helps to make sure campaigns stay on track and problems are taken care of in a timely manner.

2. Reports can educate clients on marketing strategies and industry trends.

Your client is amazing at his or her business. You are the marketing professional. You know what is trending, what best practices are, and how to implement them into a strategy that works.

You each have a role and you each have valuable information to share to get to the goal line.

By utilizing client reports as an educational tool, both agency and client are on the same page. Reporting also allows agencies to introduce and legitimize new campaign strategies.

Agencies can introduce KPI’s and discuss which metric is important and why, as well as how to report on the success of the KPI’s you’re tracking.

Reporting, whether on a dashboard or annotated presentations, also allows agencies to measure benchmarks, understand historical performance, and guide campaigns with opinions based on data.

3. Reporting allows you to showcase the value of your work.

There has never been so much data available to track digital advertising. So the modern marketer’s main task is to prove if anything they’re doing is working at all.

Without a regular cadence of reporting and keeping track of an advertising campaign’s performance, it’s essentially impossible to prove marketing effectiveness.

Client reports empower an advertising agency to not only prove campaign performance, but the performance of the agency itself. Check out these client report examples for inspiration on how to build knock-out presentations.

4. Client reports are integral to agency success.

The quote, “what gets measured, gets managed,” is more than just a nice turn of phrase. The data you chose to integrate and illustrate in your reports and dashboards for clients can have a huge impact on the perception of your agency, and if there’s any confusion on KPI’s, the strategy can go awry, fast.

That's why NinjaCat delivers an all-in-one reporting platform that is automated, so you can spend more time growing your business but still have a laser beam focus on reporting back to your client in a way they will clearly understand. We diminish the time it would take to manually draft reports allowing you more time for strategy, conversations with your clients and campaign management.

We put reporting front and center and give you the keys to success.

NinjaCat has all the tools your digital marketing agency needs to grow your business while keeping a focus on reporting and delivering better reports than ever before. Clients are won and lost because of reporting, make sure you keep your clients and retain new prospects with in-depth reports by NinjaCat.

1. PDCA or the Deming cycle is a management methodology that aims to continually improve processes. This cycle is based on four stages: plan, do, check, and act.

2.Plan- The first step when trying to optimize a process and improve a product or service is to plan. The company's strategic goals, as well as the customer's expectations, must be aligned in order to fulfill the next stages.

Do- Now it's time to put your plan in action. It's important for the team to receive particular training to execute what's laid out in the plan.

During execution, you should also try to collect data so you can monitor processes and measure results. Record them whether they're positive or negative.

Check- Now, analyze the results. In this stage, having objective and quantitative parameters are needed in order to properly assess process improvement and quality standards and to compare them to previous cycles.

In this stage, you can identify problems or failures in the process, which can be adjusted later.

Act- As well, the “A” in PDCA also stands for “adjust”, and it represents the actions to be implemented to correct the failures detected in the previous stage. At this point, you can point out solutions to problems and then amend planning according to the new results.

3. The PDCA methodology is widely used for problem-solving and to create quality process improvements. By deploying this model, organizations aim to enhance their internal and external processes by eliminating any issues along the way of the work process.

The plan was made for a reason, so it is important for players to execute it as outlined.

The PDCA or Plan-Do-Check-Act is a four-step cyclical and problem-solving method that organizations use for continuous process improvement. Each stage of the PDCA cycle contributes to the goal of identifying which business processes work and which of them needs further improvement. This methodical approach is also utilized to avoid recurring mistakes and errors in operations.
PLAN
Specifically describe the problem to be solved and state why it is important to be addressed. Discuss objectives and create Smart, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART) goals that your team members and relevant stakeholders agree upon. Aside from that, the end of this stage should materialize in a comprehensive plan answering information-building questions such as:

What is the cause of the problem?

What are the current standards and procedures regarding the specific process?

What resources are needed to implement the proposed changes?

What are the potential hindrances in achieving the project goals?

What measures should be taken to address the problem?

What is the ideal schedule/deadline to complete the implementation?

What are the criteria for the project to be considered a success?

Do

Since you’ve identified potential solutions to the problem in the first stage—”Do” is the part where you’ll execute them. Apply the changes but only on a small scale or controlled environment such as specific department, project, or with just a particular demographic.

This is to ensure that if ever the changes were ineffective or if they resulted in a negative impact to your process or business, there won’t be much damage to deal with and minimal resources were used.

After the initial testing, gather all the relevant data to show if the recognized potential solutions worked or not.

Check

This is the analysis stage—with your data from the previous stage, evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented solutions. Compare them to the success criteria included in the planning stage.

Assess if the result is already satisfactory and the solutions are already working according to the objective, or if they need further improvements to achieve the overall goal.

If further adjustments are needed, go back to the first stage—Plan—and try other alternatives that you think could work to solve the problem. If it’s considered a success, however, you can now proceed to the next stage, Act.

Act

Once you’ve recognized the effectiveness of the solutions, “Act” is the stage where you’ll fully implement them as part of your business process.

To continuously achieve greater and more standardized results, it will be helpful to also address the following questions:

What resources are needed to successfully implement the solutions?

Would training be necessary in implementing the developed solutions?

What other opportunities can be maximized?

Is there an opportunity to measure the results more accurately?

The PDCA method is a simple yet powerful tool that gives you the option to repeat the cycle if you think that the solutions can still be improved. In some cases, you may need to go through the four stages again if there are factors or changes that could affect the way the implemented solutions work.
