         <title>In my first unit, I inquired into how digital media is used and organised through the central idea, “The digital world shapes the way in which people consume, create and communicate information.”This unit was explored through the following lines of inquiry:The interconnected systems within the digital world (form)Tools, strategies and skills needed to consume, create and connect (function)Our responsibility as a digital citizen (responsibility) (academic integrity)During this unit of inquiry I’ve gathered evidence to showcase my understanding of the Learner Profile attribute: principled. Take a look at the ways I have shown these and how I’ve developed my understanding of these profiles. The Approaches to Learning (ATLs/skills) I’ve developed throughout this unit have helped me become a better researcher. I’ve had a lot of opportunities to develop my skills of consuming and processing as well as creating. During this unit, I also learned that my online choices can impact others and thereby helped me develop the skills of ethical use.          <description><![CDATA[<div>This week I discovered how to code on Ozobot! I then created a " roller coaster" with a team and coded it to follow my roller coaster. I took on the role of leader and the role I was responsible for keeping track of my friends I was responsible when made good choices for example we agree on the same ideas and we listen to each others ideas. I am using the ATL if creating by experimenting with code and colour choices in code!</div>]]></description>

Take a look at the ways I have shown how I’ve developed these attributes.&nbsp;<br><br><br><br>I have learned much more about the science concepts of: ecosystems, adaptation, extinction and survival, conservation and interdependence. I have continued to work on my thinking and research skills, in particular analysis and gathering and recording.          <description><![CDATA[<div>In the Unit Of Inquiry: Sharing The Planet I inquired into the impact of human choices on the ecosystem. When researching as a class, I discovered that palm is one big reason for deforestation in some of the world's more biodiverse forests. The destruction of these forests means that the habitats of endangered species like the Orangutan are destroyed!&nbsp; I was shocked when we discovered that 50% of products in supermarkets contain palm oil! I wanted to take action and so first I increased my own knowledge by looking at home for products that had palm oil in the ingredient list. We created a large class list of all the items that did and did not have palm oil in them. Following this, together as a class, we wrote these slides and sent them to the KJS Timers to be published so that we could raise awareness about this problem at school!</div>]]></description>
