TEACHING CONTEXT

The school where I work is big and there are beauticians, hairdressers, waiters and cooks. This year I am teaching to beauticians. I have classes with students coming from 9-10 different countries (Brasil, Romania, Moldavia, Morocco, Algeria, Poland, Latvia, China, Nigeria, ecc.).

I need new strategies to afford these classes and create a good atmosphere.

1.3 Museums as constructors of knowledge
The underlying pedagogical principles behind this shift are based on constructivist and constructionist learning theories of the educational philosophers Jean Piaget and Seymour Papert, who argue that children construct knowledge through their interaction with the outside world. In many modern museums, these principles now drive the way exhibits are organised, and they should also drive the way we as teachers shape learning in a museum with our students.
