         <description><![CDATA[<div>"Inspiration is everywhere and often in unexpected places; you just have to keep your eyes open."&nbsp;<br>Often times when we are teaching we find real life connections that connect to what we are teaching at that time.<br>A lot times we dig deeper when a topic relates to us or we have seen it happen in real life. There is an excitement that comes over "me" when talking about money. I AM inspired by it!! So when teaching certain things in math I find that I push harder!&nbsp;<br>Sometimes students can ask a question or bring up a topic that will inspire what we are teaching or what we are doing at that time in class.<br><br>"...failure is an important part of the process."<br>Children are afraid of the failing part of the process, so work must be done to get them to understand that it is OK to fail.</div>]]></description>

Wicker<br><br>No teacher has ever had a former student return to say a standardized test changed his/her life...Ms. Haith shared that she believes we are missing the mark when we focus on tests and not the children and what their goals for learning are. Ms. Gordan shared we need to focus on making students leaders and that cannot be done by focusing only on tests.&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
