The mood of this stanza is fear, hope, and confused. These 3 moods fit the character as well because he misses his wife and when someone at the door he thinks its her and he has hope he gets to talk to her one last time but than when he realizes no ones there and hes confused like hes loosing his mind and has fear that he was talking to himself thinking it was his wife that had passed away.

Never stop loving someone just because you can't see them.

I chose this theme because i feel it fits the stanza well because when he answers the door he thinks its his wife shes all he thinks about and this theme goes along with that just because you cant see her doesn't mean he should stop having hope and loving her.

the most gothic element is high overwrought emotion and this is because it all about him thinking his wife that is no longer here is at the door but its just the darkness and so hes got a mix of emotions.
