Topic one of Instructional Technology introduced the different strategies and tools for appropriate use of technology. We learned that it is possible to design and adapt different learning experiences that allow incorporation of digital tools in order to promote student learning and creativity. Through this topic, preservice teachers are able to be exposed to the idea of how both content and skill development can be supported by media and technology - allowing them to pick and choose resources based off of quality, accuracy, and effectiveness. For my own classroom, I believe that it is crucial to integrate technology into my class. According to the grade level I ultimately end up teaching, I will use the appropriate websites and materials (manipulative) that best suit my students.

Topic two of Instructional Technology exposes preservice teachers to the true meaning of copyright and student use agreement. Overall, it elaborates on technology ethics and what is expected when using technology in the K-12 classroom. The practice of integrating technology in the day to day lesson plans is also emphasized. Factors such as effectiveness, ease of integration, cost, and reliability are all components to keep in mind when evaluating technology usage within a classroom. With the importance of ethics, I will make it a point for my students to clearly know my expectations. I will have the rules and guidelines physically posted.

In terms of the relationships of communication, it focuses on parent-to-teach as well as student-to-teacher opportunities. With the resources such as Remind, Zoom, etc. it allows accessibility to exchange of information. As a teacher, this will overall help with the growth of professional skills.

Topic six of Instructional Technology emphasized the usage of technology for assessments. A key component I learned through this topic is that assessments do not necessarily refer to the multiple-paged tests with bubbles or free response boxes. I love the concept of kahoots only because it allows students to show what they know in a light hearted concept.
