We walked in to the theatre to be greeted by an eager angie. As a group we noticed something was amiss and asked if everything was okay? Angie explained she had misplaced the wedding ring her husband gave her and was visibly upset. I think a few people felt a little uncomfortable, but feelings aside we all started to help look for the wedding ring. We did this for around 20 minutes. I thought it would be helpfull to go downstairs and alert the front desk that the ring had gone missing and could people keep an eye out for it. Angie then put a stop to the exercise, telling us all it was one of Stanislavski's methods.
As a whole i think we were all very relieved.
This exercise was so convincing and natural. We all instantly wanted to help, i myself instantly felt empathetic and wanted to help.
Another thouroughly enjoyable exercise, even if it made us all panic stricken.

We went down stairs and picked who we thought would be interesting subjects.
How would they move and  what were their reactions to things? I found this a very interesting challenge as i like to people watch.
I chose a boy who was sat in the college cafeteria. The boy who i chose often had me sniggering to myself. His emotions, i thought, were up and down. one minute his face was scowling, the next he was sat day dreaming to himself.
Sat furiously texting on his phone, his brow would scrunch up, he put his phone down and his mood instantly lifted and started listening to music.

After getting together as a group, reading the script through and getting a feel for it. We decided Steel magnolias was not what we wanted as a group for our performance and decided to look for another script. Although it makes a very good film, when we got to sit down and try it, it just did not work for us. It did not seem very natural

Rachael was poorly on this paticular day so we had to work without her. However there are features said to obvious to help understand.
Realism was a 19th century theatrical movement, its aim was to portray 'real life' on stage, Naturalism is often refered to as the same thing but it can also mean the belief that a human character is formed by what they have bequethed from family and the environment around them.

We were asked to lay down and relax. The lights went out so we were in complete darkness, music and noises were in the background. Alot of screams could be heard as scratches and bangs were made with some people even being grabbed.
I did not feel apprehensive myself s i had in my head that i was in university and nothing bad could come of this.
