Hi Samantha, thank you for allowing me review your digital solution. You’ve created a wonderful resource that not only meets the design brief, but is informative, orderly and aesthetically pleasing.

I can see you have already added more than 20 relevant items to your website. This demonstrates your ability to select resources that would engage students in their learning (Standard 3.4) (AITSL, 2011). I would, however, encourage you to take a second look at the following resources, as some have not been linked correctly:
Years P-2

- “5 Ps for a positive digital footprint”

- There also appears to be a random URL at the bottom of the Digital Technologies column

Years 3&4

- The Bee Bots

- Global Digital Citizen Foundation

Your integration of Edublogs, as a resource used to support the Australian Curriculum: Technologies, was insightful, demonstrating your ability to not only adapt resources for use within the Technologies Curriculum, but also show your understanding of the ways in which ICT could be used to extend learning (Standard 2.6) (AITSL, 2011). I would encourage you to add this adaptation to your digital solution, so that you may share your ideas with colleagues and improve student learning (Standard 4.2) (AITSL, 2011).

Hi Tracie, thank you for allowing me review your digital solution. You’ve created an incredible resource that I believe has exceeded the design brief, maintaining an engaging and coherent layout that is easily accessible and professional. In particular, I found the embedding of the Australian Curriculum into your digital solution to be a great addition, proving WIX to be a valuable solution, capable of facilitating additional functions beyond the essentials that were required in the design brief.

Through viewing your website, it is evident that you are proficient in your ability to select resources, including ICT, to engage students in their learning (Standard 3.4) (AITSL, 2011). There was only one resource on your digital solution that I was not able to access and this was the Prep Activity “From Fibre to Fashion”.

Your integration of a forum also shows you understand the importance of collaborating with external professionals to improve teaching and learning (Standard 7.4), as well your ability to initiate and engage in professional discussions, aimed at developing your professional knowledge and practice (Standard 6.3) (AITSL, 2011).

Hi Karen, thank you for allowing me review your digital solution. I found your choice of solution to be highly engaging and extremely easy to navigate, meeting the design brief on all accounts. I particularly like the layout of your resources and the way in which you have provided a brief overview of each resource, which is then expanded on as the viewer clicks on the associated link. This demonstrates your in-depth knowledge of resources associated with the Australian Curriculum: Technologies and the ways in which they can be used to support and engage students in their learning (Standard 3.4) (AITSL, 2011).

The integration of a search feature was also a highly effective tool, allowing users to search for resources and ideas throughout your whole website. I would encourage you to add this feature to every page, as it will assist in finding resources more efficiently as your digital solutions grows.

Karen, my only suggestion would be changing the format of the links so they automatically open in a new tab. This feature would make it easier for the person viewing your resource to return to your digital storage solution without having to go back through their Internet history.

Hi Megan, thank you for allowing me review your digital solution. I found your website, whilst simplistic in its design, to be a storage platform that was highly professional and clutter free, making it easy to view and navigate.

I particularly liked your integration of an external blog. By linking your blog to an external website, such as WordPress, you have demonstrated your understanding of the importance in engaging in professional learning to improve teaching practices (Standard 6.3) (AITSL, 2011). Potentially this blog could also be used as a communication outlet, to engage and involve the parents/ carers of the students within your class (Standard 3.7) (AITSL, 2011).

Through viewing your website, it is evident that you are proficient in your ability to select resources, including ICT, to engage students in their learning (Standard 3.4) (AITSL, 2011). I would, however, encourage you to take a second look at the following resources, as some have not been linked:

Years P - 2

- Printable Algorithm coding game

- Wonder workshop dash robot

Years 3 & 4

- Superhero coding game

- Primary connections

Years 5 & 6

- Sphero Cam

Overall I believe you have a very functional digital solution, appropriate for storing and presenting information, ideas and resources relevant to the Australian Curriculum: Technology.

Hi Annalyce, thank you for allowing me review your digital solution. You’ve created a wonderful resource that is engaging, coherent and aesthetically pleasing, exceeding the design brief in every aspect.

I particularly like the integrations of a subscription option. I believe this shows your commitment to the teaching profession, and your willingness to continually modify your teaching practice as you evaluate the effectiveness of resources and student learning (Standard 5.4) (AITSL, 2011).

Currently your website displays a range of resources that would effectively engage students in their learning (Standard 3.4) (AITSL, 2011). I would however, encourage you to look at resources beyond those that are sourced on the Digital Technologies Hub. This will ensure you meet the assessment criteria, of selecting “varying types” of resources from “a variety of properly attributed sources”.

Overall a very well structured digital solution that allows for the storing, retrieving and presenting of information, ideas and resources relevant to the Australian Curriculum: Technologies
