I wish people in Japan were more careful about using plastic. Whenever I go to a bakery, I fight with staff about using plastic bags. I often ask them to put everything into 1 single bag but they always try to separate my items and use many many plastic bags. It drives me crazy. Also, I think if stores charged ¥1000 for a plastic shopping bag, it would QUICKLY solve the problem- everyone would use an Eco-bag and nobody would want to pay that much for a plastic shopping bag.
