Hurricane Harvey very negatively impacted the environment. This is because of all the floods that hurricane Harvey caused because of the rainfall. These flood waters ended up getting contaminated by sewage water household chemicals and even went through chemical plants and things of those sorts and was contaminated by all of the chemicals from the plants.

After Hurricane Harvey one of the immediate efforts the government did to address the issue was give government aid to the people immediately affected by the Hurricane. One of the more overtime efforts that we did was learn from Harvey and its flooding and learned that we needed to reevaluate urban development with things like green spaces and even investing in infrastructure to create a more flood resilient communities for the future.

Hurricane Harvey changed our whole view on hurricanes and how we can avoid this widespread destruction from this Hurricane. Significant flooding as well as water contamination were only a few of the major impacts of this Hurricane. But the main thing thing that affect the environment is from all the flooding and the chemicals that were in the water from the plants and such that got destroyed from the floods it severely added to climate change. Things such as warmer oceans and even stalled weather systems were caused because of this hurricane.

Hurricane Harvey was and still is one of the most devastating Hurricanes in the history of the United States. This hurricane changed our whole view on hurricanes not because of how powerful it was or how bad the hurricane was when it hit. But the days after the hurricane when the rainfall got so high in some areas, even 50-60 inches of rain and caused mass flooding throughout the whole of the areas affected. This flooding and its aftermath lead to the increased speed of climate change because of how big the floods were and what they contained. Things such as sewage water and even chemicals that were highly dangerous to humans and the planet. This lead things that even got as bad to stalling weather patterns.

This hurricane changed the way we view the environment because of how extensive its damage was as well as how much rainfall happened after the hurricane. The rainfall was so extensive that it even got as bad as some areas having 50-60 inches of rainfall. This meant that humans had to find a way to stop this things and also view how different hurricanes after Harvey could do this same thing even if the hurricane was itself was worse.
