In 2009, 17th May the first draft of Minecraft was released. Minecraft is a sandbox style game where players are encouraged to create their own worlds and build their own games within realms. The game has since been developed further as it is a simple block style game. Since being released, Minecraft has been featured across many other gaming platforms and conventions and also became a key part of youtube and twitch where players would watch other people play and find hacks within the game. There are two modes of play, survival and creative where you have the choice to build your world from scratch or just enjoy what has already been created since release. The game also became digitally convergent as it is able to be played across multi[le platforms such as: PC, PE (Pocket edition), Xbox and playstation.
