George is a student in grade 8 with Down Syndrome. When he was two years old, George received corrective eye surgery for misalignment (“crossed eyes”) which was a success. He now wears corrective glasses, however, one eye is deteriorating at a rapid pace. After lunch, George finds reading materials, or reading notes on the board to be very taxing.
