This year one of my ELA classes is an in class support (ICS) and I am learning a lot about my students and ways to help improve my instruction. Our focus this year and using a self-determined model of instruction. We are discussing here the goals of our students and how to help them meet them for this week and the upcoming week. We keep track of these goals and progress through record keeping and having conferences with them. Their goals are listed in the classroom and also in their notebooks.
