In the Gentle Warrior music video, I saw a lot of different composition and framing techniques. The close-up shots could help create a connection with us - almost like the speakers are trying to show us how sincere they are.

There were also wide shots that showed a lot of natural landscapes. I believe this could depict the connection between freedom and open landscapes.

Additionally, the traditional clothing seen was symbolic of their native identity, portraying their pride and heritage.

the video starts in black and white which portrays old times, the outfits of the people are all cultured and traditional, so is the music, the camera closes up on different people every once in a while , and some angles give off a certain type of lighting to better present the scene. The environment in which the video is recorded is in the middle of a field, some parts of it in a forest with lakes to represent the lands of indigenous people, The instruments used in the beginning are part of their culture (along with the singing), the video begins and ends with captions on a black screen which can make us feel a certain emotion

Often times there were close-ups, showing off the emotions of these characters and close-ups of dancing and drumming to create more of a focus to the music and visuals

(Indomitable)

The music video uses a lot of mid close up shots, putting emphasis on the people and community, they use natural lighting and are in a natural setting. Then it switches to colour, which is paired with singing and dancing. This feels more uplifting, peaceful, and free. There is no gaze in the video, the singers are never looking straight into the camera, and this helps with feelings of peace and freedom. Not being stared at puts people more at ease and it is less intimidating. There is a sense of freedom because it does not feel as though the viewer is being controlled or pressured in any way. It is calmer, more relaxing, not intense at all.

I found this song and the video to be very calming, and I really enjoyed them.

The camera angles were different throught the video and the people in the vidoeo always looked away from the camera, the colours were black and white to show sadness the colourful to show how empowering the lyrics were, and the lighting was showing their culture and stuff like that.

There were shots of them looking into the camera, but there were barely any close shots of them; meaning that they seemed to prioritize the landscape around them (The forest, the shore, etc). They must have done this to highlight the connection with nature that is present in many Indigenous teachings and beliefs.

The old woman present throughout the video (supposed to represent the grandma of the singer I beleive) was also reading out the lyrics to the song at the beginning at the end, unaccompanied by any music or effects. At the beginning and the end, the video wanted us to focus on what she, an indigenous woman with a lot of experience, was saying, even though it wasnt much.

The indigenous person packs and drives off somewhere, meeting people at what seems to be a market area with mostly people who are aboriginal. The are dances in the middle with people of all ages, it's a certain kind of dance that they all do together and the guy eventually joins them, reconnecting himself to his culture. At times the video syncs with the music and the drums begin to get louder as they begin to dance together in very vivid and designed outfits. The lighting changes near the end, showing just the sunset and a black figure.

This demonstrates the significance of drums in there culture.

At the same time the shots are close when they want to show how the person is or feel, but far when they want to show how the environment is.

I noticed the constant change of visuals, the fast paced switching of pictures. This makes it more energetic and fun. I also noticed how close the camera angle is to the main character, which encourages the idea that there is a friendly, intimate relationship even though the person is a complete stranger. The lack of gaze however contributes to a relaxed, peaceful feeling, ensuring that it is not intense and overwhelming. I noticed when the video progressed the colours went from dull to more and more vibrant, when he left the boring city to go attend the exciting powow which is a celebration of his culture.

Overall, I really enjoyed the song and the music video.

I noticed that in the beginning of the video, it starts off with drumming and a countdown which built some suspense to the beginning. It also seems like the main artist was surrounded by many people in the beginning. Towards the end of the video the artist is more independent and dresses more culturally than in the beginning. The colours also start to change from very colourful to somewhat black and white.

(Video 1)

I love the monochromatic black-and-white filter at the beginning of the music video. it provokes a flare for the dramatics when this is tied together with the low and deep drum beats at the beginning.

I like the message at the very beginning of the music video. the facts are very informative. The silence ties in well as it allows the viewers to listen to the on-beat clicks of the typewriter, which makes us pay attention to the message being typed on the paper; the title Gentle Warrior.

I noticed that their social distances changed frequently from group, to close. When giving us a closer angle, it allows the viewer to really take in all of the details especially the colours on his garments as the man participates in the Powwow.

I love everything from the dancing to the drumming, to the singing. Every instrument ties in together perfectly and on the beat. Everything is in unison. I especially love the change in tempo from the beginning of the music video (slow) to the end (fast)

This sight looks mundane, dull, and boring. This is evident with the lack of colour unlike the man in his professional garments for celebrations like Powwows. He looks happy and everything around him looks bright and vibrant as well. There is a lot of colour.

I have noticed that when the performer is around his community, her seems happier than working at his desk job (presumably) alone.

The vocals are just amazing.

I love the way that it switches to black and white colours when it shows the woman who was writing in the beginning and then returns to a more colourful music video. The camera also seems to change distance a lot where in certain parts it is more zoomed while others are not. I also thought the way they showed the red dress was very interesting. I love how it is there like a simple Easter egg but in reality it has a lot of meaning behind it.
