There were also wide shots that showed a lot of natural landscapes. I believe this could depict the connection between freedom and open landscapes.

Additionally, the traditional clothing seen was symbolic of their native identity, portraying their pride and heritage.

Camera angles: there is some wide shot at the beginning to those people who play the instrument together some high angel at the last to show them all.

There were a mix of different shots such as wider shots to show more of the people and surroundings but also some mid/closer ones when the main girl was singing.

The people were all together while the women was in the front mabey to show leadership as she is the one performing,

There was also many wide shots that captured the indigenous peoples surrounded with nature. Especially at the ends of the video where you could see a large group of indigenous peoples in a semi-circle with flowing water.

At the end, there was also a close up shot of a residential school memorial to help amplify the significance of the lyrics.

The music video uses a lot of mid close up shots, putting emphasis on the people and community, they use natural lighting and are in a natural setting. They wear their cultural clothes and show off their dances and traditions as a community. They use a lot direct angles to capture their community and traditions

The music video started out with little sound until they went outside. some of the camera work focused on certain things that people were doing like dancing

Camera position: the camera is always moving around capturing a lot of angles and also they recorded in white and black when they were showing the lady to symbolize that it was a video from the past.

I found this song and the video to be very calming, and I really enjoyed them.

sound: near the end of the song at 5:35 the music completely stops to show how the people in the music video are at a place to remember those who died in a residential school.

The old woman present throughout the video (supposed to represent the grandma of the singer I beleive) was also reading out the lyrics to the song at the beginning at the end, unaccompanied by any music or effects. At the beginning and the end, the video wanted us to focus on what she, an indigenous woman with a lot of experience, was saying, even though it wasnt much.

Close social distance is also used in the video, mainly when a person is shown singing. The reason for this may be so that we can really see their expressions and empathise.

Lighting: darker shot when in city vs. brighter and lighter shot at the Powwow

Similarly, there was the use of colour and light, where the bold colours of the dancers' clothes and the natural scenery helped draw attention to the message of identity.

Camera: the camera was dramatically shifting from him being in a boring work setting to him being in a traditional gathering that was bright.

Sound: the music was kind of low in the beginning and the volume turned up as we continued to watch the video

I noticed that the first scene he was working was painted cold and dark, but the moment he went indigenous works, his face lit up and he looked so happy.

At the beginning of video, the shot was very close to him but end of the video, shot was a bit far then the beginning

I noticed that there were a variety of camera angle shots. For instance, some shots would be closer, to show the details and different clothing that they would wear. There would also be further shots, to showcase the dance and music that was occuring during the video.

As the video went on, it became more and more colourful. The vibe of the video became less depressing and more of a feeling of celebration.

Nearing the end, the video began to be in slow mode, adding to the dramatic and significance of being proud of identifying/connection to indigenous culture. This was also when I noticed a more intense and impactful beat drop in the music. All adding to the effectiveness of the delivery of the main message. That indigenous culture is something to be proud of and celebrate.

In the beginning of the song it was very gray and there weren't many colours until he left his office arrived at the Powwow.

I think this is representing how different their culture is from standard North American culture/lifestyles.

I really liked this video as it shows the difference between a city life and a cultural life that the protagonist of the video lives.

• The video uses close-up group shots to show the difference between the person in a city-type society and a group setting with his traditional clothing and dance.

• Fast-pacing audio to keep the audience intrigued in the video, as well as camera shots that align the sound of the drums with the men hitting the drums in the video. This demonstrates the significance of drums in there culture.

Overall, I really enjoyed the song and the music video.

Most of the video is fully lit, making it appear bright for the most part. This could be done in order to convey joy and other similar emotions.

• I love the monochromatic black-and-white filter at the beginning of the music video. it provokes a flare for the dramatics when this is tied together with the low and deep drum beats at the beginning.

• I like the message at the very beginning of the music video. the facts are very informative. The silence ties in well as it allows the viewers to listen to the on-beat clicks of the typewriter, which makes us pay attention to the message being typed on the paper; the title Gentle Warrior.

• I noticed that their social distances changed frequently from group, to close. When giving us a closer angle, it allows the viewer to really take in all of the details especially the colours on his garments as the man participates in the Powwow.

• I love everything from the dancing to the drumming, to the singing. Every instrument ties in together perfectly and on the beat. Everything is in unison. I especially love the change in tempo from the beginning of the music video (slow) to the end (fast)

• I love how the visuals and the beat of the music are in unison. as you hear the drum beat, the imagery changes from one image to another.

• I like to see the difference and colour compared to the man in the video as in one setting, he is lumped in with the rest of society and is seen going to work. This sight looks mundane, dull, and boring. This is evident with the lack of colour unlike the man in his professional garments for celebrations like Powwows. He looks happy and everything around him looks bright and vibrant as well. There is a lot of colour.

• I have noticed that when the performer is around his community, her seems happier than working at his desk job (presumably) alone.

• The vocals are just amazing. Everything is in sync and it sounds so good!
