Stay in packs with up to 40 members , most now only have around 7-15. There is a alpha male and female , most pasks have more males then females. Females tend to leave the pack to join other packs that dont have adult females at 2 ½ . Half of the male pups will stay with thier fathers pack and others will branch off to star their own pack. All members work together to take care of one another, escpecilly the sick and young. When returning from a hunt the young are fed and others that were not able to go hunt. They are very loving and fights rarley happen but when they do its probly between females concerning breeding rights. They hunt in the morning or early evening. They will hunt at night if the moon is out and bright. They go off of sight not smell. They chase thier pray and can even gut the prey while it is running. Vagengers can be around when eating pray but not hyeenas, they may kill them if they dont go away.

These wandering animals kill livestocks sometimes and are susceptible to diseases from domestic animals. These animals don’t stay in one place but it’s has gotten to the point where even their roaming space is decreasing tremendously. Humans overpopulating with roads, settlements and agricultural has taken roaming space which has the biggest impact of the African wild dogs becoming extinct. Once again humans have made things to better our lives putting African wild dogs and many other animals at risk of extinction. Making certain spaces designated just for these and other animals could help but because they are not terrestrial it may not.
