Fot instance, I could give them short medium and long term goals that are acheivable and realistic so that it will keep them engaged in my sessions. If I was having a conversation with this particpant I would say that after this session you will feel a lot better both mentally and physically.

Extrinsicaly Motivated Individual - In this scenarion I would remind them that they will after all of these hard and 'long' training sessions and games will reap the rewards and have all of the success and high praise that they crave. In this instance short, medium and long term goals wouldn't be best suited but can still be used. Ecstrisically motivated if it was a big club I would point towards goal bonuses or tell them to aim for the player of the year award 

It may also motivate other intrinsically motivated players in the club as they see someone just as or more passionate than them and it makes them want to give more e.g Bruno Fernandes effect on united 

Intrinsically motivated I would aim more towards pushing them to try to be captain or to motivate the rest of the group with their passion for the sport.

extrinsic player is when the player is playing for the money and i would motivate the player with bonus on the next game if the team win.

Extrinsic- is motivated by the money and winning trophies for his self and he would only say at the club if his getting a massive new contract with a lot of money
