According to the text, it’s one of the highest points in Singapore however it is still close to sea level. This is what a common Island in Singapore would look like. With a lot of trees and vegetation. Nature preserves here as we have learned are home to about 140 different species of birds. Singapore is located off the southern tip of the Malaysian peninsula. It is about 85 miles north of the equator. There are no rural areas in this country so the terrain is mostly flat. The main island of Singapore takes up 93% of the whole area that Singapore has. Although the climate is very hot and humid, the sea helps cool down everything. The wettest month is November so as you can see the sea might get a lot of water and runoff sometimes. Even though the rain water is plentiful, Singapore still has to borrow water from Malaysia to meet their needs. Fun fact, the main island gets 95 inches of rain water every year! To give you more details, the dry season is from October to June.

I used this picture because according to my research, Buddhism is one of the  main religions in Singapore. Singapore has the most freedom in their religions however, there are some exceptions. It looks like everyone looks happy in the picture because they get to perform their religious tasks due to the amount of freedom. Mostly all of the Malays who make up 14 % of the population are muslim. 18% of Singapore residents are Christian, 5% are Hindu. Christians are normally chinese or caucasian. It looks like a very priceless work of art with bright colors and good textures. This can show an example for the major rituals each religion has that they perform in Singapore. Afterlife is a big share of interest between each religion. They all support each other and there is a lot of freedom. As you can see, the houses look nice and safe. The architecture is very different from what we see on a daily basis. Due to highly trained, strict, police, Singapore is very safe. The two main highschools in Singapore were rated really high globally.

This country is a republic. So Parliament mostly makes all of the rules. However, there is a Prime Minister that leads Cabinet. As a Parliament member you serve a 5 year term. There are 89 seats. There is also up to 9 nominated people elected by a select section of parliament to serve. The people of Singapore elect the people in parliament. This president appoints the Prime Minister. However, the president does still have some control over the government including finances and some other civil service appointments. This picture is of Halimah Yacob, the president of Singapore. She is in charge of a Cabinet that she chooses. The people of Singapore elected her for a 6 year term. She appointed the Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong. Halimah has control over some finances. The government maintains a tight control over the people of Singapore's rights and safety. It censors what new organisations and businesses and bans satellites at home that could show tv programs that aren’t approved by the government. Fun fact, the largest political party in Singapore is the People’s Action Party (PAP). It came to power in 1959. From 1968 to 1981, the PAP actually held the most seats in parliament. Since 1981 it has held most of the seats in Parliament.

Electronics there dominate the manufacturing industry. Singapore though small is the most successful in growing entrepreneurial companies. The government however chooses to mainly support small and medium companies. 
Economics has grown immensely since independence. There is little unemployment rate here. Before the 1960s, Singapore was a trading nation. However, it’s economy started to vary after that including adding many banks, insurance firms, finance companies, and stock exchanges. The companies annual income is one of the highest in Asia.

Singapore has many main languages because it is so diverse. This country is populated with many different culture groups.  75 % of the residents are Chinese. 15% of Malays. And most of the rest of the people are indian. The diversity in ethnic groups creates a varied clothing style among people. Clothing helps us see people' personality and their style. Specifically in Singapore, Education is really important. Good grades make sure you go on a good path with good jobs and good opportunities. This makes Singapore a country that bases things on talent and ability rather than class. Another fun fact is that Singaporeans like to joke about their desire for the 5 Cs. (car, condominium, credit card, club membership, and career.) These are important symbols of wealth status regardless of ethnicity. There are wide income differences however the people are mostly differentiated by ethnicity rather than class. All ethnic groups have experienced different great economic values at different times. This creates a balance in culture.
