| Introduction During the Covid situation, students became very reliant on teacher supports and teaching and learning online became more ‘chalk-and-talk’ in nature. This went against much of the recent advances in terms of Junior Cycle reform. Also, feedback from parents, the Teaching & Learning Committee, and Student Council identified this as an issue. So, we have decided to focus on the key skill of ‘managing myself’.
| Whole-School Initiatives As part of the SSE process in 2022/23, the school is looking at the impact COVID. One of the findings has been that students have become more dependent learners. | Relevance for Business Studies · Classroom Based Assessments · Alternative means of Assessment · Encouraging students to critical thinkers and manage their own learning · Study skills
| Classroom Strategies in Action · Reflections at end of test reviewing performance · Reflective journal looking at key words · Make note of homework · Make study plan
