A current innovation in which novel healthcare technology is used is Bio Implantable Sensors that is implanted surgically into the body for monitoring of the body internally for a long-term period. The data and evaluation from an internal perspective helps treat and manage proper medications and or certain types of electrical pulses to the body. The advanced technology in different fields of medicine focuses on many disease processes and medical treatments (Yogev et al., 2023).

Pros to having Bio implantable Sensors

A Pro to having a bio implantable sensor is the up-to-date technology advancing in AI with medical devices and treatments. For example, they use long-term with the goal being assessments and detailed evaluation of the internal body (Yogev et al., 2023).

In addition, another pro can be that this implantable device is much smaller and compact that can still give precise, and accurate date over an extended period. Also, the conditions that the device may be able to endure and used with other devices to detect abnormalities early on may have an advantage to the lifespan of the patient (Yogev et al., 2023).

Cons to having Bio implantable Sensors

There may be a con in where a Bio implantable sensor can become more expensive and increase risk of infection, and rejection from the body. This will then increase mortality and hospitalization (Yogev et al., 2023).

In addition, another con side to having bio implantable sensors is the extensive training and funds that are needed to accomplish the procedure. In addition, the bridge between the study of having access to these devices and available resources provided in clinical settings (Yogev et al., 2023).

Opinion & Rationale

My opinion on this innovation is that it can significantly monitor and address those with underlying chronic health conditions such as Congestive heart failure, kidney failure, and COPD. Continuous invasive monitoring can decrease their hospital admissions, recurrence, and exacerbation of symptoms. This can save the patient from enduring hardship in their health physically, mentally, financial state, and emotionally. My rationale is that by looking at the studies, devices, and how the body adapts to the device after implantation successfully leads to accurate data collection for physicians and health care team members to follow up with healthcare.

5 Strengths & 5 Team Members

My 5 strengths to provide for the team would be belief, connectedness, arranger, relator, and positivity. I believe that paying close attention and delivering the highest level of care by focusing on making the most positive outcomes for individuals is important. Having faith and the connectedness with patient centered care to do what’s right and what’s in the best interest for the patient. A relator creates a strong foundation for teamwork in the healthcare field. Lastly, positivity promotes better work atmospheres, caring, and a trusting space for patients to be seen, heard, and valued. The 5 team members I chose to join the team are Alice (achiever), Louis (learner), Izzie (input), Andrew (activator), and Carter (communication). They all play a critical role and add other strengths to the team in different areas. Alice will contribute to the team by acting and putting into action what the team has gathered. Louis and Izzie will both contribute to the team by obtaining information about our team and help guide us to better decision making. They carry the strengths of the analytical thinkers.

Andrew and Carter will both contribute by taking the lead and making sure everyone on the team is taken into consideration. Carter will be able to communicate the teams decisions clearly.
