Edith was Born  on December 4, 1865, She was a British nurse.  Who save the lives of soldiers from both sides without discrimination . Edith Cavell helped  200 Allied soldiers escape from German-occupied Belgium during the First World War, she was arrested on  3, 1915 . On 12 October 1915, Edith was murdered by firing squad after being arrested and accused of treason. Whittle made a thesis arguing that planes needed to fly at high altitudes, where air resistance is much lower, in order to achieve long ranges and high speeds. Frank Whittle should be recognized because he made a major impact on the aircraft as airplanes are major transportation vehicles in modern day life. They are necessities as they allow us to travel to where we need to be. Born in 1922, technology was becoming more available. In 1941 he received a PhD in Physics from the University of Chicago. He also has many awards under his belt like the National award of science, Nobel Prize, Copley Medal, Fermi Award, the Japan Prize, the Draper Prize, and many more. His most groundbreaking invention was the Lithium-Ion battery. The millions of people using them hardly think of this esteemed scientist. She studied the behavior of gorillas and campaigned against gorilla poaching. She gave her life to the protection of gorillas and even founded the Karisoke Research Center to help study and protect the gorillas. Her research helped with the conservation of gorillas even after she was murdered.
