Throughout the past few weeks we have learned a lot. We have talked about immigration, the rights of workers, racism, and point of view. In today's assignment, we are going to use all that we have learned and all that we know to make some observations about our characters.

Here is the guiding statement for today's lesson: Everyone experiences life differently based on their personal and family histories, their personality, and what they have been through.

We are going to use this guiding statement to analyze Esperanza and Miguel, and each of their experiences as immigrants to the United States.
