Allie was Holden's younger brother and he had died from leukemia. He was smart boy and involved in sports. He was not like other people and he was constantly nice to other people. he was able to make a great deal out of his life but he passed away too soon. 
3)(What does this reveal about Holden):
Holden is very hurt by Allie's death. He never forgot what happened and he is experienced physical pain towards the matter when he shattered all of the windows when Allie had died.

Ackley wanted to be involved with everyone. He was a constant distract to others and no one seems to want to be around him. Holden would say how if you showed him any attention then you would be a goner.

Holden is impatient and easily angered. rusty as hell and full of lather and hairs and crap. He never cleaned it or anything. He always
looked good when he was finished fixing himself up, but he was a secret slob anyway, if you
knew him the way I did. The reason he fixed himself up to look good was because he was madly
in love with himself. "(17).

Stradlater is into his looks and wants to be presentable on the outside for other people. He always made sure he looked good for others but he was secretly a slob. He used his rusty razor and all of his materials were old and out of use. 
3)(What does this reveal about Holden):
Holden notices these attributes of people and how they seem different on the outside than how they actually are on the inside. People constantly change the way they want to be seen even if they are not even like that. They want to be seen as better such as Sally. streets way the hell uptown. The one next to me, with the iron glasses, said she taught English
and her friend taught history and American government."(68)
2)(What does this reveal about the character):
The nuns were speaking with Holden and they discussed the topics of their living. The nuns were both school teachers. Holden finds it easy to talk to them and they appreciate Holden because their discussions and because of his donation. At first they did not think he could afford the donation but they later allowed him to donate the money.
3)(What does this reveal about Holden):
Holden is easily able to talk to many people and he is not afraid to start conversations. He wants to be apart of people's lives and always find a way to help them. This shows the caring side of Holden and his appreciation for other people.

because the show probably started at two-thirty. She was always late. Then I hung up. She gave

Sally is very self-centered and she wants the best out of everything. She seems to want to be seen as rich and she wants everyone to want her. Holden does describe her as beautiful but he does not enjoy her company. She is completely different than Holden and they act differently and she is full of herself.
3)(What does this reveal about Holden):
Holden stays in the company of Sally even though he does not enjoy it. He is satisfied with her beauty but does not like her personality. What a guy. He was supposed to be my Student Adviser when I was at Whooton. The
only thing he ever did, though, was give these sex talks and all, late at night when there was a
bunch of guys in his room. He knew quite a bit about sex, especially perverts and all. He was
always telling us about a lot of creepy guys that go around having affairs with sheep, and guys
that go around with girls' pants sewed in the lining of their hats and all. And flits and Lesbians.
Old Luce knew who every flit and Lesbian in the United States was. All you had to do was
mention somebody--anybody--and old Luce'd tell you if he was a flit or not. "(84)
2)(What does this reveal about the character):
Old Luce seems to know a lot about relationships and sex. He is someone that Holden is able to talk to and discuss personal matters but Old Luce does not like when his personal matters are talked about. He is trying to become more mature and not act as child-like as Holden.
3)(What does this reveal about Holden):
