Can teachers be provided with the "must haves" from the districts perspective for the beginning of the school year so they know what they will be expected to do in schoology when they return in August?

I don't like how there isn't a feature built into the site that "locks" students out of using other websites.

I also don't like how I can't upload my already made tests to the site for my students to take.

Agree with the other poster that the options and the various ways to access different information seems overwhelming right now.

I like that everything is there (gradebooks, assignments, class pages, etc.).

I also like that I can make assignments for students to complete that will grade itself. It's also nice that they'll be there from year to year.

It's user friendly and communicating with students is easy,

I see the option, but when I click on it, the program wants me to set up new notebooks. I want to merge my existing notebooks. How do I do this?

When I copy a test from one course to another, the test transfers, but it seems that I have to "re-set" parameters for test settings.

With edline we had to "redo" our teacher page every year. Is that the case with this too? Is there a way to NOT have to redo everything from year-to-year? Seems unnecessary...

I like the setup. Its very easy to use from a teacher perspective and the students loved it too.

I liked that I could add assignments and it was easy to grade from online and automatically went into the gradebook.

I felt that it became very overwhelming when you had many assignments posted under materials. I can see a lot of kids becoming confused because so much is posted under materials at once.

I didn't like that you had to have a time when an assignment is submitted electronically. I want the assignment to be due when class starts (like a paper assignment would be) but figuring out what time that would be was challenging. Also that time changes for every class.

Also can we get step by step directions for how to add grades and the calendar so everyone's is the same. Easier for students and parents to understand.

Using the test feature was really easy to use, especially if you already use exam view test generator. You simply format your old test and schoology will accept it.

It's visually appealing. I like the easy use of posting and editing assignments in one screen.

It only took the students a few minutes to connect to my class using the access code.

Students were also able to easily submit assignments (word document).

I like the "Facebook" look of it to post messages/reminders to specific classes.

I am going to attempt to use the pen to check submitted journals and see what that looks like. I'm not sure if that will be a pro or con!

Flowers-I love how you can grade an assignment as soon as you read it and it post to the grade book for you.

I love the look of the platform. It reminds me of using social media and I think it will be user friendly for the kids.

Flowers- creating a test took a long time and was difficult to create different types of questions. The bonus- once it was created, it was very easy for kids to take.
