Twenty years ago there was no idea of mentoring. I did not have a mentor. The head of the methodical committee somehow fulfilled this role of guidance. The study in the school, the individual study and the discussions with the older colleagues regulated didactic activity. Ten years ago I first heard mentoring in private organizations and I dared to be at some point in the position to introduce this concept into education as well. After 3 years it was introduced, but only scriptically.

That's why it puts a lot of trouble. But the question is: how close can be the relationship between the two, given that it is, however, a professional relationship. Often I have the impression, from my colleagues' positions, that the mentoring relationship is confused with that of friendship. I do not think this too close approach is beneficial to the professional mentoring relationship. The mentor is, however, formal and informal. Mentoring takes place within the educational unit, not outside. For me it's a reflection theme.
