"I learned why the colonists were against paying taxes. They were as ridiculous as the taxes charged from us in the classroom. We were charged taxes to go to the bathroom, for not completing assignments, for talking out of turn etc. But then all of us unified and revolted against these oppressive taxes." 

"I enjoyed creating the Loyalist presentation in class. We had to work in our groups to create props, and banners to support our fight against Independence. I particularly enjoyed the role playing where I was Thomas Hutchinson, who was attacked by the Patriots."

"I never enjoyed history this much."
