When he stubs his toe, he chooses to relocate to a less problematic location. Soon after, he's going on a journey "to the City of Solla Sollew, on the banks of the lovely River Wah-Hoo, where there are no problems." However, between his meetings with the Midwinter Jicker and the Perilous Poozer of Pompelmoose Pass, he quickly discovers that facing his difficulties is really simpler than avoiding them. This book greatly describes the american dream because when he left he realized that at some point he needs to face hus problems and thats the start of the dream. It's making change and striving to be the best person you can be. If you can look at this as an adult you can understand that in life problems you have to keep pushing through.

Yertle the Turtle is about King Yertle, who, despite having all he needs, decides that he is unhappy with his realm. He wants to go to the moon, so he has his turtle followers build a ladder to help him get there. Mack, the bottom turtle, suffers the most and informs the king that he is in discomfort and hungry. Your child will have learned something when Mack ultimately fails and the turtles come crashing down. This books describes the american dream because he is going through alot of discomfort and hunger but he wants to reach his goal and get where he wants to be.
