I've never been fond of Philippine Pop Music until I encountered the music called Panindigan kita which the band Ben&ben wrote and it gave me this expression of relatability and how it was not so much the same type of music or rhythm OPM had before. ]]> 2023-05-18 16:08:47 UTC https://padlet.com/cjjoaquin/qhw8po09dsaynz1z/wish/2596476910 Uses and Gratifications Theory cjjoaquin https://padlet.com/cjjoaquin/qhw8po09dsaynz1z/wish/2596506775 Uses and Gratifications theory implies that we use media as a form of entertainment and gratification, seeking a satisfactory activity for our own personal needs if you will, but in my case with the fondness of the band called Ben&Ben it wasn't that much of a seeking of entertainment or a satisfactory activity to fulfil the psychological needs I have to meet but it was much more about recognition of the band such as their creativity and uniqueness. 

The band often expresses deep regard for relationships and with that kind of tool for relaying or spreading a message, especially with their own uniqueness of expressing their music, it can be, for most people, be relatable and expressive. If we were to look at it in a Pop Culture sense of influencing the mass, It's a lot more penetrating or we as people are attracted or allured towards the music of the band Ben&Ben.
