My main takeaways would be better planning so that i felt like i knew what i was doing the whole time and i also was able to gain a better understanding with the drying process and when the times right to carve because if its still soft there will be boogers everywhere and if its leather hard then im able to carve without having to worry about the mess and overall it just looks cleaner. Im happy with my end product and a few people said it looks scary which i think is funny because i wanted to try and make a spooky mask that you'd see in a horror movie. I  want to put in the same effort from this piece into others.]]> 2022-04-22 18:28:46 UTC https://padlet.com/salgado20042000/CristianSalgado/wish/2153988191 salgado20042000 https://padlet.com/salgado20042000/CristianSalgado/wish/2202367170 OKAY BOWLS i started off bowls with attempting to hand build for the first week and i totally failed im not sure why but my handcrafting skills were pretty bad when it came to making bowls i looked at pictures for inspo but nothing really sparked my interest. so after trying to make a bowl out of vines i decided to go and try throwing on the wheel. now my history with the wheel isnt so hot and i wish i took time to go after school and practice more but i always had work shifts right after my 5th period on Tuesdays. Anyways the start was pretty rocky well the whole time it was always pretty rocky BUT i managed to throw my first bowl it looks even and it wasn't too thick man i thought i was gonna become a pro after that one but then i messed up only a few minutes into my 2nd one this process repeated itself i made one and then messed up like 5 times trying to make my next and again and again until i came out with 5 bowls which isnt as much as i wish i made, but im glad i have something to donate. It was fun to make bowls knowing that they would go to a good cause and it was nice to see everyone work hard and efficient. The glazing process was also super fun because so much bowls came put with unique looks and color combination. The glazing process was definitely my favorite part of the project because i had fun using the spray gun.
