How I started!

Growing up, I never had many dresses or professional clothes, until I was a freshman in high school. Events, birthdays, dances, and more plans started popping up and even more, as I got into college. This meant, I needed a dress, so I would buy one, then realize I only wear this $50-$120 dress once. Then I had an idea pop up.

I had the idea to rent out my dresses to other girls who needed a dress in advance or last minute. I started an Instagram account to post the dresses I had and followed girls I knew and girls who were in sororities. Since sorority functions and date nights with fraternities happened constantly. I post the dresses at a fraction of the cost so girls don't have to spend hundreds on a dress to wear once. And to add on, I rent these dresses from $10-$40 depending on the brand and demand. Which means I make my money back and have extra cash on the side. It's a win-win for both parties.

Today, having this small business on the side. I have collected revenue of around $2000, and that's only counting my freshman year of college in Arkansas and not back at home in DFW Texas. I have a feeling if I put more time and passion into this, it could open many doors for me in the future. And maybe inspire other girls to start their own little business too!
