Having most of my experiences in the various roles I've held over the years I've seen a lot. I am well versed in the upper elementary standards, but will be teaching sixth grade this fall. What I notced studetns have to be proficient at by the time they reach me in sixth grade is huge. To be able to scaffold students who ay struggle in those areas to bring them into sixth grade level will be an asset I have for my students as I've spent so much time in upper elementary. I also noticed that the standards become some what broader in the secondary level as more is from the foundational period of students lives.
