AI tools will help students stay in a general education classroom instead of being pulled out. AI tools can definitely increase engagement in the classroom if the tech is working that day.

There are some helpful products for AI fonts. In particular, there’s a product that can break larger words into syllables in a readable font. Super cool stuff. C. Morgan

Since accessible fonts vary between dyslexic individuals, I think it would be most helpful to have a tool that would quickly identify which font best serves each individual, rather than the dyslexic population as a whole.

I have had students tell me certain fonts help. However, I have found that when I am listening to text that certain voices are easier to comprehend the text .

I think it would have a huge positive impact! Anything we can do to increase reading fluency should be considered because it will have an impact on school success and potentially career success.

I think it can have a positive impact on motivation. I am partial to mechanical pencils when most adults love pens. If there is a style that is more engaging to a student or one that makes them more comfortable then I’m all for using it. I recently changed the voice on my phone because when I had an update I no longer liked the one I used. When students like what they are using they are more motivated to use it.
