How can we give goals and know if they actually read it if we don't have a program such as this? If have students that have not taken a test in a week, I can conference with them and see what is going on. I was able to teach students how to record their reading of stories at their lexile ability levels. I could then listen after class and compare to their quiz results on whether to raise or lower difficulty/challenge levels. This was in lieu of AR which wasn't endorsed at the site I moved to. It is a great way to see all of the information on one document, especially for guiding instruction and grading.
