My app is an adventure through natural landscapes with nature sounds that are soothing. The user goes on a journey that supports them in mindfulness exercises. The user encounters NPCs that speak to the user in dialogue trees (a form of artificial intelligence) to ask how the user is feeling, give comfort, and offer suggestions on exercises and breathing techniques the user can do to feel calmer and more at peace.

My app is a very interactive app. My app asks the user if they ate and how they are feeling. My app will also have real life people that gives them advice. When the user gets the app we will ask their pronouns and a little background on them as a person but if a question we ask is something they do not want to share they can skip that question. Lastly, we will give them inspiring quotes based off of their situation but the user will have the option to turn it off.

My app allows you to be in your own environment alone or with other users. Kind of like simulation games like minecraft, but this game would be built for vr so it can actually feel like your in it. There would also be things like chat and messaging and the ability to join with other users or invite them yourself. The user would also be able to do basic stuff like listen to music, or they could even talk to a built in A.I. if they feel like it. But there would also be customization for your character and it could be however you want.

But so it helps teens it would also ask the user to fill out a type of checkup when you start and before you leave the game. And it would ask how you feel, but so it doesn't get abused it wont really feature awards, and it would be that it sees how you feels and gives you a award based on how you do and other users can also rate you. But it would only be a score of 1-5 and could be disabled. It would encourage the user to be better and give rewards based on user and personal feedback.

This app could do stuff like allow you to create your own videos, talk with a virtual therapist, travel in vr and be yourself in general in a controlled environment by you, the user. But to make sure the user is healthy it tells them to take breaks from the app and motivates the user while they are playing, these can be turned off of course, to not bother the user.

My app allows the user to meet with other users who may be insecure or not confident and they would have to complete tasks. The tasks would be like "compliment someones ____)". And they would do this after clicking on the users profile because that's where the picture of themselves would be. To break it down more, users are doing tasks to help out other users in body positivity . The start of the game would be the user customizing their self and then start at a starting point and you would have to search for a task to do and find people to do it to. And if its genuine/made the person feel better, the person your doing it to would have to approve of the task your doing. And you would have to do the same. If you get a certain amount of tasks done, you level up.

my app is going to be a journey. In this journey there would be people who compliment you and not based it on a "perfect body." This journey the user will have challenges with being body shamed but then reaching your goal and accepting yourself. In the game their would be certain models who are unique and doesn't define a "perfect body." You get to respond to the character who in this game is your best friends. They can ask questions every 15 minutes playing the game so the character can give a challenge to help you comfort more. The place would be hollywood. I want the user to feel like a star in the game. Some challenges there would be is probably going through being body shamed at school and how you can overcome it , etc. Another one would be like choices in he game. When, you are able to accept yourself. You are given this chance in the game to model and express who you are. Also, after the game and you think you need more advice there would be pages where people express what their feeling or how they feel and what they did to overcome.

People would want to use my app so they could feel better, instead of being in environments where they don't feel safe or feel anxious they could basically be in their own "safe zone" They would get rewarded with a in game reward system or play mini games with your friends so you don't get bored. There would also be "achievements" so people who like earning things like achievements and trophies can do it. But this could also be disabled. This app helps the user by making them feel safe, or special. In real life many kids feel like they are worthless or unsafe, and this app helps them.

Somebody would want to use this app because it helps them feel better about themselves and helps them feel loved and cared about, regardless of how they look like. It helps solve the problem by allowing them to learn and ignore what others think of them. It motivates them to learn that only what they think of themselves matters. The beast shouldn't defeat them. Why? It shouldn't defeat them because the only way they can lose is when they agree with the beast. They should learn why their body is THEIR body. It's the only one they have so they should learn to treasure it and learn how to block other peoples thoughts on it and continue practicing. It's hard to block them out so they would continue because they would want to learn how to be proud of themselves and not be bothered by anything. Not even themselves.

This will help the user know that there isn't really a "perfect body." When completing each challenge the user will receive points and with this points you can purchase to travel somewhere in the game or purchase some clothes in the game for your character or a friend in the game as a gift. This can also motivate the user since when playing this game you can relate and how you can overcome it by just accepting yourself. To add on according to https://www.thoughtco.com/how-racism-affects-public-school-minorities-4025361
It states that, "
Institutional racism doesn’t just affect adults but children in K-12 schools as well. Anecdotes from families, research studies, and discrimination lawsuits all reveal that children of color face bias in schools. They’re disciplined more harshly, less likely to be identified as gifted, or to have access to quality teachers, to name but a few examples." To add on it also states that, "Black students are three times more likely to be suspended or expelled than their white peers, according to the U.S. Department of Education.1 And in the American South, racial disparities in punitive discipline are even greater.

evidence about encouraging teens to come out: teens have been having a lot of trouble lately with their own identities and how would they explain it to people that are close to them in which kids health states all the reason why teens are struggling now"
There are also plenty of reasons why people decide not to come out, such as:

They're not yet sure about who they are or how they feel. They're still trying to figure things out for themselves.

They feel that topics like sexual orientation or gender are private and see no reason to talk about them.

They're afraid they'll face bullying, harassment, discrimination, or even violence.

Their families don't know, and they worry about what might happen if parents or siblings find out." This explains why now and days LGBTQ+ teens suffer from the pain in not telling anyone. Additionally in article coming out as a LGBT teen it states"Coming out as gay, lesbian, bisexual ,or transgender can be tough at any age, but teens have a lot more to think about. Is it safe to come out at school? Will your mom or dad reject you? Will you be kicked out of the house?" which means that coming out is a struggle, where you don't know hat to say or do and it can be confusing when thinking about it.

The problem that I am designing for an app is about the LGBTQ+.For example according to a source called “LGBTQ Issues in teens” it states this “ Lesbian, gay and bisexual adolescents are also at increased risk for suicidal thoughts and behaviors, suicide attempts, and suicide. A nationally representative study of adolescents in grades 7–12 found that lesbian, gay, and bisexual youth were more than twice as likely to have attempted suicide as their heterosexual peers, according to the American Journal of Public Health.”This shows that teens suffer a lot of pain when they know who they are have trouble talking about it with their parents which increases the risk of suicide and depression.

According to the article Body Image Issues and Teen Suicide, it states "The study was based on a nationally representative 2001 survey involving 13,601 students in ninth through 12th grade. The findings appear in the June issue of Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, published Monday. About 19 percent said they had considered suicide in the previous year and about 9 percent said they had attempted it. About 65 percent of students were in the normal-weight range, but only about 54 percent perceived themselves as "about the right weight." Some thought they weighed too much; others thought they were too thin."
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/body-image-issues-and-teen-suicide/

In addition, according to the article

Study: 94% of teenage girls have been body shamed, it states "One study found 94 percent of all teenage girls, and 64 percent of teenage boys have been shamed for the way their body looks."

https://www.wcnc.com/article/features/producers-picks/study-94-of-teenage-girls-have-been-body-shamed/275-436143277

Lastly, in the article How body shaming affects your health, it states "Anorexia is the most lethal of all psychiatric conditions. The NPC's don't ask for help with anything too difficult, but just right for someone to feel calm while partaking in the task if they choose to. In the game, you live in a town and are able to go visit other towns or cities whenever you want to. The user would see buildings that have people outside of them or inside of them. The user would be able to visit their neighbors by knocking on the buildings front door if it's a house, or going to into a building and heading towards a staircase or elevator that will allow them different choices of anyone they would want to visit. The user interacts with the app by talking to the other people living in the cities and towns around them and/or helping them with a task.

My problem that I'm designing an app for is the ability to cope with problems. I am researching this because some teens struggle to cope in situations that might deal with a death, or a loss, or struggles with school or home. Sometimes, teens turn to drugs as a way to ease their emotions and make them stop thinking about anything to do with the situation as a way to distract them. According to therealcost.betaboccofree.hhs.gov, a teen used vaping as a way to cope, but he states it ended up canceling out his ability to cope.

My problem that I'm designing an app for is body image.
According to Albert Ellis Institution, " it is challenging to not get caught up in comparing oneself to these unrealistic standards. As a result, many individuals may experience depression, anxiety, anger and even self-loathing. In addition to affecting an individual’s view of self, poor body image may also result in avoidance of social situations and may interfere with developing healthy social and romantic relationships." This quote is basically saying that in today's society, comparing yourself to someone else can promote negative thoughts and it affects a person mentally, or possibly physically.
