I like this book because of the historical reference about the time of segregation in the United States. The students can learn from this book in the context of racial equality and growing civil rights. I liked this book because it provided a different perspective of segregation as it pertained to the Hispanic culture. This is a good book when it comes to teaching life cycles for an early elementary population. It explains the simple concepts and life cycle of a caterpillar to a butterfly. The illustrations greatly support the text as it provides an easy-read format for young children.
