Ms Song went to Korea with my daughter, Cheryl, in 2018. It was a trip I will never forget as I had this huge burden to ensure both Cheryl and I were safe. My husband had just started a new job and had no earned leave. Would you feel the same if you were in my shoes?

The flight to Seoul was smooth and I managed to catch some sleep before the flight landed uneventfully at 9am. Once we had cleared customs, we took a bus to our hotel. Not wanting to waste any time, we left our luggage at the reception desk, put on some warm clothing and headed to Gyeongbokgung Palace.

The Palace was magnificent and huge and loomed over us. As we walked towards the servants' quarters, it felt as if we had travelled back in time. (TO BE CONTINUED :P )

Last year, my family and I went to Sichuan. Sichuan is famous for its spicy cuisine, famous HISTORY, and its 变脸 show.

We arrived in Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan, after a long flight. The city was bustling with activity, and the streets were filled with people, bicycles, and colourful lights. The architecture was beautiful, and there were lots of statues and ancient ARTEFACTS to admire. Afterward, we went to try the Sichuan hotpot, a dish that is famous for being super spicy. At first, I was nervous because I don’t usually like spicy food, but I decided to be brave and try THIS NEW DISH. The hotpot was amazing! The broth was full of chili peppers and spices, and the MEAT and vegetables we cooked in it were so delicious.

The next day, we visited the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda breeding, which was one of the highlights of my trip. I had always wanted to see pandas up close, and here I could watch them play, eat bamboo, and even nap. Some pandas were so lazy, just lying on their backs with their legs in the air. It was so cute AND I GUFFAWED ENDLESSLY! The guide explained how the centRE helps protect pandas and their natural habitat. I even got to see a baby panda, and it was the most adorable thing I had ever seen. There were also different kinds of pandas, for example, the red pandas. I even bought a plushie of the red panda. (THAT'S GREAT!)

On the third day, we took a trip to 峨眉山, one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains in China. We took a cable car up the mountain, and from there, we walked along narrow paths surrounded by lush green forests. The higher we went, the cooler the air became. At the top of the mountain, we visited a Buddhist temple, where monks were praying and chanting. The view from the top was breathtaking. We could see mist-covered peaks (AWESOME!) and waterfalls cascading (LOVELY) down the sides of the mountain. It felt peaceful and serene, and I felt like I was in a different world. Although the view was nice, I swear my organs had already frozen as it was extremely cold (CONSIDER REPHRASING). My mother rented some clothes for MY SISTER AND ME, but we still felt cold (or at least I did).

Soon, our trip came to an end. All of us did not want to leave Chengdu but we all knew we had to HEAD HOME. MY HEART WAS HEAVY. As we waved one last goodbye to Chengdu, the plane flew off back to Singapore.

Pls like

👇
