The UN stated that achieving gender equality and empowerment will not only bring benefits for females but also paved ways for the advancement of the world since it will bring benefits towards 'societies and humanity at large'(UN,2015) and creates a 'peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world'. - Gender wage gaps range from 7-53% in Europe and Central Asia
-  Women does 3 times more unpaid work than men. In India, there are only 22.5% of women belonging to the total workforce.
- In politics, only 23.7% of women are represented in National Parliament, far from equality.

-Europe- The Council of Europe  implemented the 'Transversal Programme on Gender Equality' in 2012 to help tackle the problem of gender inequality in Europe. The plan was improved overtime and during 2013,  Council of Europe 'Gender Equality Strategy' 2014-2017 was adopted in order to tackle more upon the issue of domestic violence for women.
-Vietnam- 'National Strategy for Gender Equality aims to create 'substantive equality' for both men and women. This ranges from political, economic, social, to political aspects of the country. Some prominent objectives that could be listed are 'striving for women's participation in Party Committees to be 25% in 2016-2020 tenures',  'literacy rate of men and women in ethnic minority regions reach 90% by 2010 and 95% by 2020', 'reduce the abortion rate to 27/100 live births by 2015',...
-India- Women in the Changing World of Work: Planet 50-50 by 2030- The UN Women launch a one-month campaign to advocate for women's 'economic empowerment'. Although unsure, it increases the farmers' incomes by 10%, showing the effectiveness of women in leadership as they increases economic gains for the people. In terms of wage gaps, it is uncertain to see whether or not women are still experiencing wage gaps since the terminology 'farmers' income' can be questioned. Also, women are subjected to income differences in which the increase in income was not indicated well for any genders. Despite that, it partially aid the SDG to advance so the world could become more sustainable since it is covering aspects that involve the economy and authorities, which were what women were especially lacking in although the economic gains was not justified properly.
Europe- The Transversal Programme on Gender Equality definitely help improves the legal status of women in Europe along with enhancing the literacy rates in the continent while balancing the gender's literacy rate. However, it is limited in terms of its lack of involvement in addressing assaults and violence towards women. This is especially concerning since it targets two aspects which are human rights and gender equality as women are being used as a subject to be beaten up. Over 26.8% of women were National Assembly deputies, recorded as one of the highest rates of womens' political representatives. In the work force, women accounted for 49% of them, suggesting a balance between male and female in workforce, emphasizing gender equality as a whole. Also, women's literacy rate reaches 92%, signifying an inflation in women's access to education, in which they are educated well in order to emphasize their position in society. This helps Vietnam to be one of the most developing countries in terms of the involvement and the way the country tackle gender equality. However, there is still a lack of ethnic women in leadership along with constant wage gaps between men and women in Vietnam. This, along with the social norm of that women doing household chores, which are unpaid work in home,  left women to be not represented well in their incomes as there are still evident wage gaps. Overall, this strategy brings significant progression for the SDG to advance since it has tackled a lot of various aspects from what the UN expected, varying from education, political representations to the workforce, although there are still inevitable wage gaps.
India- The campaign brings great awareness towards people as 3.3 million people are informed. However, since people are really informed and there are no policies to follow, it would soon be forgotten in society and things would still be partially normal if the campaign ended. Also, there are no certain actions which made people's determination and persistent attitude to be diminished since there are no leaders or authoritative power who can lead people well. Since this is not a policy, there were no affirmative action to bring people's awareness to the limelights which made the progress for the SPD to hinder due to a lack of action.

- Gender empowerment could also eradicate partly any signs of further discrimination or sexual assaults or harassments in women, as women' freedom and voice are projected strongly into the world, giving them opportunities for male counterparts to view them as equal.
- It creates independence amongst women and also lower the birth rate in a country as women are going to work like men and earning the equivalent salary
- Lowering the birth rate in a country also results in a country's advancements towards further stages of the DTM, which helps the country to prosper.
- Women have access to better public healthcare and services
