User Experience:

• Overall Feeling: I want to really consider how the sleeve feels in the buyers hands. Using textures, embossing or matte finishes to create a memorable and engaging experience

• Interactive: I want to incorporate interactive design features like hidden artwork or flaps that pop out, to really show the deeper meaning behind the album.

Functionality:

• Protection of the Record: The sleeve should protect the vinyl from any sort of damage. Materials that are thick and durable should be considered.

• Shelf Presence: I want this album cover to be a piece of art that buyers can show off in there rooms and are attracted to on the shelf.

Visual Impact:

• Aesthetic Appeal: The cover should be related to the poster but can differ, almost like a family. Id like the aesthetic to be very minimal like the poster, using mostly simple shapes with an easy to understand meaning.

• Color Palette: Using simple colors/shades like black, white and another complimentary color so buyers don't get overwhelmed by colors

• Negative Space: I want to be able to direct the viewers focus to the key points.

Additional Artwork:

• Extras: Record sleeve could include lyric booklets, inserts or fold out posters. These could tie in with the design of the record sleeve and reinforce the albums identity.

Circle: A circle inherently represents cycles and repetition, making it ideal for illustrating the passage of time

I really want to use foil stamping because I think it could really enhance my design, but subtly. Putting the gold/copper foil around some of the halftones would really work and bring emphasis on the pattern!
