This project will require a combination of all of the literacy skills that have been addressed throughout the unit. 
1. The class must collaborate to come up with an alliteration for the title of the book. 
2. Students will compare and contrast their own character traits with those of other students in the class and depicts these differences within the class picture book. Each student will illustrate a page of the book depicting themselves as a mouse character and helping the plot along. 
3. The story must include plot elements including main events, problem, and resolution. 
4. Adjectives must be used accurately throughout the story to add describe characters, events, etc.
5. A personal connection to the text must be evident in the theme of the story. Henkes was first published shortly after his first semester of college at the University of Wisconsin. One of Kevin Henkes' most notable achievements was winning the 2005 Caldecott Award for his picture book Kitten's First Full Moon.
