The Nazis were considered "racially superior". They considered Jews to be powerless, worthless, and an alien threat to the so-called German racial community. The Holocaust lasted from 1933 - 1945.

The revisions provided a legal basis for extending Nazi persecution of homosexuals. Ministry officials expanded the category of "criminally indecent activities between men" to include any act that could be construed as homosexual. Without trial—anyone they chose. In addition, homosexual prisoners just released from jail were immediately re-arrested and sent to concentration camps if the police thought it likely that they would continue to engage in homosexual acts.

German authorities subjected them to arbitrary internment, forced labor, and mass murder. German civilian authorities managed several forced-labor camps in which they incarcerated them. It is known that perhaps 250,000 Gypsies were killed .Nearly half of the them died within the first months of their arrival, due to lack of food, fuel, shelter, and medicines.

Hitler believed in something called the "Aryan master race, which is racial grouping." The Law they created called "the prevention of Progeny with Hereditary Diseases," forced the sterilization of all persons who suffered from diseases considered hereditary. Altogether an estimated 300,000 to 400,000 people were sterilized under the law.

Jehovah's Witnesses were subjected to intense persecution under the Nazi regime. They were strongly opposed to both war on behalf of a temporal authority and organized government in matters of conscience.

In camps and ghettos, women were particularly vulnerable to beatings and rape. Pregnant Jewish women often tried to conceal their pregnancies or were forced to submit to abortions. The women were generally forced to have abortions, sent to give birth in makeshift nurseries where conditions would guarantee the death of the infants, or simply shipped to the region they came from without food or medical care.  Millions of women were persecuted and murdered during the Holocaust era.

During World War I, black African soldiers were brought in by the French during the Allied occupation. Some of these black soldiers married white German women that bore children referred to as “Black Disgrace”. Hitler said he would eliminate all the children born of African-German descent because he considered them as an “insult” to the German nation. Once a child was decided to be of black descent, the child was taken immediately to a hospital and sterilized. About 400 children were medically sterilized -- many times without their parents’ knowledge.

German military authorities and the German Security Police collaborated on a racist policy of mass murder by shooting of Soviet Prisoners of War, Jews, persons with ‘Asiatic’ features, and top political and military leaders.
