I thought Jeanne's English was great and the errors she did make, were mostly phonological and typical of native French speakers. At the end of Jeanne's interview, she spoke about how much she liked to learn English and how open she was to any criticism to become a better speaker. Her desire to learn and motivation stuck out to me. I wanted to explore in more depth about how motivation affects second language acquisition and how as a teacher, I can help my students increase their motivation.

Through the research and reading for this paper, I found out that motivation is believed to be the most important individual factor when learning a second language. I also learned that my motivation for having my student's learn English is not enough to make-up for their lack of motivation. The errors in Jeanne's language, to me, were not significant enough for me to come up with something to work on and correct. The biggest take away for teachers is to include as much visual information into your teaching as possible. Motivation can be stimulated by the images, videos, realia, etc. that the teacher uses in their instruction.
