The story related the life of Lacie that it is a young woman obsessed with being good rated by the society, she is a kind person, otherwise the ones that are good rated is because they are opportunistic, altruistic and also hobnob with the others to be the best rated of everyone. Lacie was called by his old friend from the primary and she asked her to be her bridesmaid and through the travel she need to get to the wedding he started realizing what you have to do to be good rated and all that bubble, so she started to change.

Nosedive is an episode of the series Black Mirror, where Lacie is the name of the protagonist. In this world, the exchange coin is the rating of each person, so you must have a high rating to get better things. Lacie is obsessed with high rating and she also rates everyone 5 stars (max.). She's got an old "friend", who in reality is a bully, that is 0,5 stars above of Lacie (4.8). Her name is Naomi and Lacie wishes to be in her life, but Lacie's actions changes her rating so bad that the fake relationship they made finally broke up. Lacie and Naomi are the persons who most importance give to rating, in comparisson of Lacie's brother who doesn't really cares. In this world there are people who really cares about rating and give their bests to try to hit the best or fail trying, and the ones who really doesn't care, such as Lacie's brother or Susan, the one who travelled Lacie to Naomi's.
