The Long Utopia by Terry Pratchett and Stephen Baxter. I picked this book because the series is one of the last things written by one of my favorite authors, Terry Pratchett, before he passed.

I would recommend "The Pearl" by John Steinbeck or "Animal Farm" by George Orwell, or "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe.

Currently, I am reading Hand Me Another Brick by Charles Swindoll. This book uses the story of Nehemiah from the Bible to illustrate the qualities of a true leader.

After the walls of Jerusalem were destroyed by war, Nehemiah is overcome with love and compassion to rebuild his beloved city- brick by brick.Similarly, the walls of our lives may have been destroyed by the poor choices we have made. Rebuilding our walls may mean rebuilding our character- one brick or attribute at a time. It is through these attributes such as integrity, perseverance, love, kindness, self-control, etc. that we can become great leaders and positive influencers of others.

I was motivated to read this book because it takes you on a year-long journey of reflection and self-improvement. "The Daily Stoic" by Ryan Holiday is a book that explores the philosophy of Stoicism and provides daily readings and reflections to help the readers apply Stoic principles to their lives. The book is divided into 366 daily meditations, each consisting of a quote from a Stoic philosopher, such as Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, or Epictetus, followed by Holiday's commentary and practical exercises. I'm currently on the 320th day, with 46 days left. Stoicism is a philosophy that has been practiced by Kings, presidents, artists, writers and entrepreneurs. So it has been an almost year long journey.

I'm looking forward to see how I can utilize what I have learned to help make our Kings and Queens resilient, happier, and more virtuous.
