Three months ago, I decided to travel alone to Medellin, and it was an amazing trip. It was the first time that I am (was) as an independent person, and I met a lot of people in the co-living where I stayed, from many diferent countries, and I would go there again unless the place were closed. (is)

The downside of my trip was that a (I) lost the flight unfortunately, becase I didn't care about the time, so I would calcute better mi time for not have spent more money. (so I don't have to spend more money)
